BERWICK-UPON-TWEED TOWN COUNCIL - Grants and subsidies

Curfew Run The Curfew Run.
Organised and staged with aid of a Grant provided by Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council.

The Town Council invites applications from local groups for small grants to help with organising events.  Examples of events which have benefited are the Tweedmouth Salmon Feast, the various events which happen each year in Spittal, the Arts and Crafts Festival, the Dickensian Christmas Market, and the Berwick Food Festival.

The Berwick Environment Enhancement Scheme (BEES for short), also provides grants to help with activities which will help improve the appearance of Berwick, Spittal and Tweedmouth.  The aim is to help projects which will have long term impact, so support is given towards shrubs rather than bedding plants, small items of gardening equipment and similar items.

The Council will also consider applications under what is called the Community Grants scheme.  This is for local groups or services which need some assistance to continue working with and for local people.  For further information please contact the Town Council direct at admin@berwick-tc.gov.uk
