On Monday 20th January 2025, Berwick Town Council approved a 5% increase to the precept for 2025-26, leading to an annual household charge for a Band D property of £109.54, a rise of 10p per week for a Band D property. Combined with funding that Town Council receives separately from the

In order that the precept request can be submitted to Northumberland County Council within the correct timeframe, the next meeting of Council will now take place on Monday 20 January 2025 with the next meeting of the Planning Committee now scheduled for Monday 27 January 2025.

After a very thorough recruitment process, Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council is delighted to be able to announce we have filled our Chief Officer Role, coming into post in February.
Iain McCready will be joining us from Farnham Town Council where he has been instrumental in their
