Vacancies for Councillors on Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council - co-option

Notices concerning recent vacancies on the following wards have been published via the usual methods.

Magdalene Ward
St Boisil Ward x 2
Upper Spittal Ward

No requests have been received for an election to fill the vacancies.

Council will consider applications for co-option to fill the vacancies.

Each applicant should provide a 3 minute video statement or a 500 words written statement explaining their vision for Berwick.

This should be sent to town.clerk@berwick-tc.gov.uk by no later than midday on Friday 16 June 2023.

The statements will be considered by Councillors at the meeting of Council on Monday 26 June 2023.

The Council will then hold a ballot or ballots, as required, and will resolve to co-opt the successful candidate.
